Dear Cherished Friends and Devoted Benefactors,

I am writing to express my deepest heartfelt gratitude for your continued support of UCAN for the last 18 year. Mere words cannot express our appreciation for all the prayers and financial support you have given to help us accomplish our mission in supporting local cancer patients waging a courageous battle against a devastating disease.

Here is an update of the good works accomplished through your unrelenting generosity in 2016:

UCAN completed over 1300 transports to ensure lifesaving cancer treatments were received; this was made possible by your unwavering financial support through the purchase of a second transit van.

UCAN continues to meet financial needs of cancer patients that present a barrier to treatment by providing the following to more that 175 individuals in 2016:
Fuel Cards, Lodging/Housing, Car Payments, Groceries, Wigs/Turbans, Insurance Premiums, Copays, Monthly Utilities, Nutritional Supplements, Medical Equipment.

UCAN is funded through generous contributions from individuals, groups and businesses, in the form of donations, memorials, and various fundraisers held through the year including events such as:

The Sarah Jarboe White UCAN Walk, The Butch Brown Memorial Golf Tournament, Stoddard County Golf Tournament, Pink Out, Got Change?, Other events sponsored by UCAN's supporters.

UCAN operates out of the Danny Bell Cancer Center in Poplar Bluff and currently serves the needs of cancer patients residing in Butler, Stoddard, Wayne and Ripley counties of Southeast Missouri.  If you know someone who has received a cancer diagnosis and is need of assistance, please have them call 573-776-1892 or visit our website at www.ucanpb.org.

Your partnership is vital to fulfilling our mission; continuing to support cancer patients during chemotherapy and radiation throughout 2017.

Without your continued prayers and generous financial donations these patients may have no where to turn for assistance.  "It is not only for what we do that we are held responsible, but also for what we do not do".

God Bless,
Melody Melloy
